Pediatric palliative care in Nevada
LifeCare for Kids brings a caring team into your home to support children under 21 with complex or life-limiting conditions — and to walk alongside the whole family.
Caring for life is from within
Our home-based pediatric program supports children and families across a range of serious health needs.
Children who need palliative support alongside ongoing medical care.
Children and families who need added comfort, coordination, and quality-of-life support.
Children whose care goals have shifted toward comfort, dignity, and family support.
Specialized care at home
Our pediatric clinicians coordinate with your child’s physicians and tailor each visit to the care plan. Support may include:
Home-based, family-centered
Our nurses and interdisciplinary team come to your home, coordinating with your child’s own physicians and supporting siblings and parents too.
What’s included
A registered nurse case manager visits your home once a week to monitor your child’s condition and answer any questions or concerns — in the comfort of your own home.
Our physician and nurse practitioner visit your child at home, where children are often more comfortable and responsive. There is more time for each child, and getting to know your child personally makes a real difference in long-term care.
Help with needs beyond medical care: the Katie Beckett process, food and energy assistance, medical equipment (DME) needs, ongoing care-plan discussions, and much more.
Fun, age-appropriate interactive therapy for everyone in the home, plus information, support, and guidance for parents and family members.
During the weekly visit, our nurses bring free diapers, wipes, and bed pads (chucks).
Late-night concerns can be scary. That’s why you can reach a nurse 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Palliative and hospice eligibility
Children under 21 may qualify for pediatric palliative care when an acute, chronic, complex, or serious condition requires intermittent nursing and family support at home. Curative treatment can continue alongside palliative care. Pediatric hospice may be appropriate when a child has a life-limiting illness and the care plan shifts toward comfort, dignity, and end-of-life support. Children with conditions like these may qualify:
Every child is reviewed individually with the family and clinical team, and this list is not complete. A diagnosis alone does not determine eligibility. If you’re unsure, call us — we’ll help you understand the appropriate program and next steps.
Medically complex children under 21, including children with the conditions listed above. Every child is reviewed case by case and the list is not complete, so please call us — we will help you check eligibility.
